Wisconsin and Michigan also provide excellent opportunities to kayak and explore. The Apostle Islands are a popular destination, although the weather conditions and cold water lends itself to the more experienced paddler. (Lake Superior water temperatures average 40-50 F in May and June and rarely gets warmer than 60 F)
