This is a great time to get out and see the wildlife at this
refuge just outside of Chicago. A relaxing pace, as we
stop to watch some of the locals out and about.
Wildlife includes many types of Heron, White Egret, Deer,
Turtles, and maybe a few surprises!
Bring a bagged lunch, fixed the way you like it for our break.

Busse Woods/Salt Creek- Mid
Week Paddle
Located in Elk Grove
Village, Busse Woods boasts a large lake where Great Blue
Heron, Egrets and Cormorants abound.
 We
will also paddle up Salt Creek, condtions allowing.
Cost: $40

 Enjoy
the day on the mighty Mississippi. We will explore the
beautiful back waters, teaming with life, and then main channels,
maybe even see a paddle boat go by!

Time: Meet at 10:30am at the Launch site, located
across from the Northern Entrance to the Mississippi Palisades
State Park. This park is directly west
of Chicago, on the IL/IA border. Approx a 3 hour drive from Chicago.
Please allow extra time for traffic on Friday's!
What to bring: Bagged lunch, hat for sun, sun block,
shoes that will stay securely on your feet, rain jacket (just in
case)
