Kayaking the Northeast Water Trail in Illinois
Chicago Kayak is proud to paddle the Water Trails of  Northeastern Illinois.  We plan trips to some, if not all of the rivers and byways.  Our kayak outings are in a group, to many locations on this map.

Interested in Membership? Once you are member, you can use our kayaks and gear for all trips, free of charge!  We kayak on average 1-2 times per week April-November, plus do other fun things all year!  The water trails are a great way to practice your skills and discover the diversity that Chicago has to offer for kayak or canoe!

Need some classes?  Our classes are the best around - we teach our Introduction to Kayaking and Intermediate classes in a Wildlife Refuge just north of Chicago. Advanced kayak classes are on Lake Michigan, in Chicago.
